J. Braxton Carter

Mr. Carter was appointed to Assurant’s board of directors in July 2020. He formerly served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for T-Mobile US, Inc., with oversight for all of the company’s financial functions, between 2013 and 2020. Mr. Carter was previously chief financial officer and vice chair for MetroPCS Communications, Inc., until its acquisition by T-Mobile in 2013. He has also held senior finance leadership roles at PrimeCo Personal Communications, L.P. (now Verizon Wireless Inc.) and Neostar Retail Group, Inc. (now GameStop Corporation). Mr. Carter is a certified public accountant and serves on the board of advisors for Fuse, a venture capital firm, and Tap Advisors, an investment banking firm, and as senior adviser for Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners, an independent investment management firm. He previously served on the boards of DigitalBridge Group, Inc., Symend, Inc. and Zayo Group, LLC.
