MIKE ANDERSON
Executive Vice President and President, International
Michael D. (Mike) Anderson is an executive vice president of Assurant Solutions and president of the International business. He was named to this position in late 2007 as part of a management restructuring that created a broader, more focused team to expand the company's international business. He manages creditor insurance and extended service contract businesses in Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and Asia as well as various international support functions in Atlanta and Miami.
Mr. Anderson began his career in automotive sales and for a time owned and managed a Chevrolet dealership in Kentucky. In 1993, he became as senior vice president - marketing, service and training of MS Diversified Corp., part of a group of 19 companies that provided various products and services to auto dealers throughout the South. Through an acquisition in 1998, Ms Diversified became the core of what is now the Assurant Solutions vehicle service contract business.
In 2000, Mr. Anderson was promoted to senior vice president and auto channel executive with overall management responsibility for the vehicle service contract business. Under his leadership, Assurant Solutions became a leading independent provider of vehicle service contracts and related product and services to U.S. auto and recreational vehicle dealers.
