MANNY BECERRA
Executive Vice President and President, Mobile Services
Manuel (Manny) Becerra began his career with Assurant companies in 1990 as national support director and national profits manager. Over the past 20 years, Manny has held a series of leadership positions at Assurant, each with more responsibility than the last, involving product development, marketing, sales, finance, client services, customer care and operations.
Mr. Becerra ran the Assurant Solutions consumer electronics warranty business division for eight years. He has served as president of the Mobile Services business since 2008 when Assurant acquired longtime partner Signal Holdings, a leading provider of wireless handset protection programs and repair services.
Under Mr. Becerra's direction, Assurant Solutions' Mobile Services division continues to invest heavily in consumer research and development in an effort to better understand customer needs and emerging industry trends. Valuable insights gained from this research allow Assurant Solutions to help its clients meet the needs of their customers.
A certified public accountant since 1987, Mr. Becerra was a senior auditor with the international accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche before he joined Assurant. He holds bachelor's degrees in both accounting and finance from Florida International University. A strong supporter of community involvement, he served on the board of the American Red Cross of Greater Miami and the Keys from 2002 to 2006 and is currently a member of the board of directors of the United Way of Miami-Dade.
