Assurant Solutions CEO Craig Lemasters Joins Leadership of Wireless Industry Association

ATLANTA: Assurant Solutions, a leading global provider of extended service contracts, today announced S. Craig Lemasters, president and chief executive officer of Assurant Solutions, has been elected to the 2010 Board of Directors for CTIA - The Wireless Association. CTIA is the Washington, D.C.-based international industry trade group representing all wireless communication sectors including cellular, personal communication services and enhanced specialized mobile radio.

Assurant Solutions is part of Assurant, Inc. (NYSE:AIZ), a premier provider of specialty insurance and insurance-related products and services. Assurant expanded its wireless protection business in 2008 through the acquisition of Signal Holdings LLC, a leading provider of wireless handset protection programs and repair services. Lemasters has nearly 20 years experience in senior leadership positions with Assurant and a predecessor company, American Bankers Insurance Group, Inc., Miami, Fla. He was named to his current position in June 2005 when Assurant Solutions was divided into two businesses – Assurant Solutions and Assurant Specialty Property. Assurant Solutions is Assurant’s largest business in terms of annual revenue ($3.4 billion in 2008 versus $8.6 billion for all of Assurant) and its only multinational business (12 countries in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia). It currently employs about 2,800 people in 25 cities.
